Segal’s annual enrollment period for 2024 benefits runs from Wednesday, October 25, 2023 through Wednesday, November 8, 2023. This is your once-a-year opportunity to make your 2024 benefit elections.

Segal is a special place to work, continuing to support our health and well-being through comprehensive health and wellness benefit programs. Segal leadership’s investment in our well-being shows how Segal cares for us. We are once again expanding the varied benefit options and opportunities to assist you in achieving a healthy lifestyle, encompassing physical, mental and financial health. Our newest initiatives include:

  • the introduction of Burnalong live and on-demand well-being solutions effective October 25, 2023;
  • changes to the Segal Resolutions wellness program effective January 1, 2024; and
  • the OptumRx Price Edge program, a simple way to save on non-specialty generic drugs, also effective January 1, 2024.

We’re also pleased to inform you that the premium increases for Aetna PPO and Aetna HDHP, the self-insured plans in which the majority of employees are enrolled, are well below the national trend or what Segal is projecting for employer healthcare cost increases in 2024. However, the fully insured Aetna EPO, Emblem Health HMO and Kaiser HMO plans, where Segal has less control over rates, will see premium increases above trend.

And, we are not increasing employee contributions for dental or vision for the 2nd year in a row.

Review 2024 coverage and contributions

Please set aside time now to review details of the 2024 coverage as well as the contribution rates for 2024, to make sure you’re enrolled in the right plans and taking full advantage of all that is offered.

The updates to our plans, and the 2024 flex credits and contribution rates, are on this 2024 benefits microsite. The elections you make during annual enrollment will take effect on January 1, 2024, and remain in place throughout the 2024 calendar year unless you have a qualifying life event, such as marriage, divorce, or the birth of a child. However if EOI is still pending for life, AD&D or LTD insurance as of January 1, 2024, that coverage will take effect upon the approval of EOI rather than on January 1.
